Alors on danse... ! - Gil Roman
7 danses grecques - Maurice Béjart
Created in 1987, the Béjart Ballet Lausanne is a reference in the choreographic world. Since the death of the master Béjart in 2007, Gil Roman has directed the company and preserved its artistic excellence.
Maurice Béjart revolutionised dance by opening it up to new audiences, democratising it and freeing it from the image of an elitist art reserved for a minority. Today, his legacy is capable of filling large auditoriums such as the NHK Hall of Tokyo, the State Kremlin Palace in Moscow, the Odéon of Herodes Atticus in Athens or the Palais des Congrès in Paris.
The heirs to the legendary Béjart Ballet Lausanne present on this occasion a mixed programme of two pieces; a choreography of classical technique by the director Gil Roman and a recreation of the Greek dances of the choreographer Maurice Béjart.
