Masterclass with Dorothée Delaibe-Laizet at the PAR en Dansa

This Saturday, March 7th, PAR en Dansa students will experience very special day with an exclusive masterclass led by renowned dancer and co-director of the Ballet Junior de Genève, Dorothée Delaibe-Laizet.

Trained at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris, Dorothée Delabie has built a twenty-four-year career as a dancer with companies such as the Ballet du Grand Théâtre de Genève, the Ballet de l’Opéra national du Rhin, and the Ballet de l’Opéra national de Lyon. She has performed a wide-ranging repertoire, from classical to contemporary works, collaborating with renowned choreographers including Merce Cunningham, Maguy Marin, Anne Teresa de Keersmaeker, Angelin Preljocaj, and William Forsythe, among many others, and appearing on major international stages and festivals.

Alongside her performing career, she has been deeply involved in teaching and artistic transmission as a guest teacher, ballet master, and assistant to contemporary choreographers, as well as in cultural outreach projects. After completing a Master’s degree in Cultural Management at Sciences Po Lyon, she took on the co-directorship of the Ballet Junior de Genève together with Franck Laizet, with the aim of offering rigorous training closely connected to the professional world.

The session will provide students with a unique opportunity to deepen their technique, expressiveness, and body awareness under the guidance of a professional with extensive experience in the field of dance. Delaibe-Laizet’s presence represents a truly enriching experience, enabling students to broaden their knowledge and discover new tools for continued artistic growth. In addition, as participants in the High Performance Dance Programme at the Factoria Cultural de Terrassa, students will have the privilege of receiving a complimentary ticket to the Ballet Junior de Genève performance, which will take place that same Saturday at 8:00 p.m.

PAR en Dansa highlights the importance of initiatives like this, which bring students closer to leading figures in the field and reinforce its commitment to high-quality training. The masterclass is expected to be intense and inspiring, promising to become a memorable experience for all participants.
