Alice in Wonderdance arrives at the Factoria Cultural de Terrassa
After months of intense work, dedication and enthusiasm, PAR en Dansa presents its new major stage production. On Saturday, March 21st at 6:00 p.m., the premiere of Alice in Wonderdance will finally take place at the Factoria Cultral de Terrassa. This highly anticipated family-oriented performance marks the culmination of an extensive process of artistic creation and high-level training.
The production is a reinterpretation of the universal classic Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll, transformed into a choreographic experience that combines technique, storytelling and emotion under the guidance of renowned choreographer Williams Castro and the program’s artistic director Alba Nadal, who has supported the students throughout their pedagogical and artistic journey. Far from being an adaptation, the performance offers a fresh perspective on this timeless story and relies on a team of professionals who have driven the entire creative process from scratch, with an original libretto, music and characters, as well as innovative staging incorporating videomapping.
PAR en Dansa students have been preparing this production through months of intensive rehearsals, working not only on technique but also on interpretation and stage presence. The show invites audiences to immerse themselves in a universe full of fantasy, surprising characters and highly expressive scenes, featuring original music by Barcelona-based composer Aleix Losa, with costume and character design by INS Terrassa.
Through a choreographic language that blends classical and contemporary dance, Alice in Wonderdance showcases the artistic potential of these young performers and the high standards of the program. It’s a unique opportunity for the students to experience a professional stage production, face a live audience, and take on the challenge of bringing to life a story that is as iconic as it is fascinating. With this production, PAR en Dansa reaffirms its commitment to offering high-quality artistic experiences and fostering the stage development of its students, consolidating its position as a space for creation and educational excellence.
In order to bring dance closer to younger audiences, a pilot initiative will be carried out with several schools to showcase the entire creative process, from the first rehearsals to the final performance, thus expanding the educational project of the Exploradors de la dansa project.
