The Nutcracker on tour in Spain

The traditional Christmas story is now an essential event for many families. Once again, ticket sales have achieved notable success and 5 performances have been scheduled; two performances for schools and three for the general public on the weekend of December 16th and 17th.

The production with Rodolfo Castellanos’ coreography is based on Petipa’s classical basis. The Nutcracker follows the original script introducing small changes in the dances from each country. Clara will dance the Pas de Deux with the Nutcracker when he becomes a Prince, and also the Grand Pas de Deux in the second act.

The youngest students from dance schools from the territory will participate in the first scene. Drosselmeyer is a real magician and his performance will transport us to an unforgettable fantasy world. This production will end with a tremendous end with the entire cast dancing on stage.

This is the fourth season that The Nutcracker is celebrated, performed by the students of the PAR (High Performance Program) in LaFACT Dance, which has already reached 10,000 spectators.

As a novelty, this has been the first year that a tour has been made of two national theaters: the Romea theater (Murcia) and the El Batel auditorium (Cartagena). The three performances have been very well received by the public and the first session sold out. In addition, good reviews have been received from people knowledgeable in the field of ballet, as demonstrated in the following article:
