In-person audition: April 26

The in-person audition for PAR in Dance will be on Saturday, April 26.

We already have the date for the in-person audition for the 2025/2026 course! On Saturday, April 26 at 11:00 AM at the PAR in Dance facilities (Factoria Cultural de Terrassa). To register for the audition, it is necessary to fill out this form. The basic requirements to register are:

• Strong foundation in classical ballet, including pointe work technique
• Knowledge of improvisation and contemporary techniques
• Pas de Deux technique

The audition will consist of a ballet class by Kevin O’Day, followed by a pointe class with Alba Nadal that will include pointe repertoire by Kevin O’Day. Finally, there will be a workshop by Williams Castro.

Kevin O’Day, born in Phoenix, Arizona, is a renowned choreographer and dancer trained at the Joffrey Ballet School in New York. He has been the artistic director of ballet in Mannheim and Karlsruhe and Artist in Residence at the Mainfranken Theater Würzburg. He has created over 80 ballets for prestigious companies such as the New York City Ballet and the Stuttgart Ballet. He has also worked with iconic figures like Twyla Tharp and Mikhail Baryshnikov and has received numerous awards, including a nomination at the MTV Video Music Awards. In 1998, he founded his own company, O’Day Dances.

Alba Nadal was born in Zaragoza and formed in Catalonia, first with Olga Roig in Manresa and later at the Institut del Teatre in Barcelona. She moved to Madrid at the young age of twelve to continue with Víctor Ullate, and completed her training at the Royal Ballet of London. From 2004 to 2019, she danced with the Royal Danish Ballet and is now a soloist at the Badisches Staatstheater Karlsruhe under the direction of Bridget Breiner.

Williams Castro, dancer, teacher, and choreographer, specializing in classical and contemporary dance, trained at the Cuban Ballet School and has extensive professional experience with major dance companies such as the National Ballet of Cuba, Víctor Ullate Ballet, and the National Ballet of Uruguay (SODRE), among others.
