Hervé Costa is a dancer, choreographer, dance teacher and an accredited teacher of the Feldenkrais Method. He trained as a professional dancer at the École de Danse supérieure de Cannes Rosella Hightower and at Rudra Bejart, the dance and performing arts school founded by Maurice Béjart in Lausanne.
His professional career developed in different European companies where he experimented different techniques and contemporary languages with choreographers such as: Misha Van Hoecke, Rui Horta, Robert Poole, Jacopo Godani, Cesc Gelabert, Sabine Dahrendorf.
In 2003, he moved to Barcelona and started teaching. In addition, together with Sara Sanguino, he created his own dance company. During this period, he devotes much of his time to exploring body language, gesture and expression, opening up more and more to the field of somatic education. With the Feldenkrais Method he discovers a richness that completely transforms his approach and vision of movement, influencing his work as a dance teacher and creator.
From 2009 to 2015, he taught contemporary dance at the Institut del Teatre de Barcelona and in the young company IT Danza.
Since 2016, along with Sara Sanguino, he has led the Obrador de Moviments centre, with a clear commitment to somatic techniques applied to the arts of movement and dance
