Registration for Summer Intensive 2022 is open
Registrations for the Summer Intensive offered by PAR for the second consecutive year by world-renowned teachers for young dancers who want to continue developing their artistic skills have been opened.
The high performance program in dance gives the possibility to young people between 15 and 22 years old to continue training and perfecting both classical and contemporary dance techniques.
It is an intensive two-week course that will take place between 5 and 16 July 2022. With classes from Monday to Saturday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., young people will have the possibility to continue developing their skills with great teachers and the option of participating in a final gala to share the work they have done during the 14 days and get on stage with professionals like Ilia Jivoy.
To continue perfecting their techniques within this art, students will receive ballet, contemporary, variations, body conditioning, dance body, tips and pas de deux classes, as well as rehearsals of the production that they will present when the course ends on July 16 in the auditorium of LaFACT Cultural.
Lessons that will be received from the hand of four professionals from the world of dance. The Summer Intensive of PAR in Dance will be taught by Rodolfo Castellanos, Anael Martín, Jamal Callender and Ilia Jivoy, four world-renowned dancers.
Rodolfo is known throughout the world as principal dancer of the National Ballet of Cuba directed by Alicia Alonso and as a guest dancer in great esdevenimientos at a global level. In addition, he is a recognized teacher in large schools and companies such as the Royal Ballet or the English National Ballet, among many others. He is currently the current artistic director of the high performance program in dance.
Anael, on the other hand, was one of the members of the National Ballet of Cuba for twenty years, where she became the first soloist and repeater. The Cuban has performed all the classical repertoire, as well as folkloric, neoclassical and contemporary choreographies. As a teacher she has been invited to companies such as the Dessau Opera, the Komische Oper of Germany or the National Dance Company. She is now the artistic coordinator of PAR.
Jamal is the founder of Barbados Dance Project and winner of Princess Grace Award. He has worked in renowned companies such as NTM Tanz, Atlanta Ballet and Hubbard Street II, and in different schools as a teacher, including It Dansa.
Ilia is considered one of the best young choreographers of the Mariinsky Theatre in St. Petersburg thanks to the his own different stylethat differentiates which combines classical and contemporary technique. He has been awarded with Hope Prize of Russia.
